Paradise Baptist Church has grown from a small community Sunday school into a vibrant center of worship, service, and spiritual growth over the past 160 years. We were founded in the Summerhill neighborhood of Atlanta. First known as Pleasant Grove—then Reed Street—Paradise has stood as a pillar of faith through generations of change. We are a welcoming congregation rooted in Baptist tradition, committed to uplifting individuals and families through worship, education, outreach, and community engagement. With deep historical ties to leaders like Dinah Watts Pace and others who laid a foundation of service and perseverance, Paradise remains grounded in its mission while embracing new opportunities. As it looks to the future, Paradise envisions a church that continues to grow in faith, impact, and unity—empowering the next generation to lead with purpose, compassion, and a strong commitment to Christ.
